Is your computer slow as a result?Īlso, which column of memory usage are you looking at? There are several types of memory. The more you have, the more it "takes for itself". The number of tabs stored is based on how much memory your computer has. If you close a tab, you can open it back up using History -> Recently Closed Tabs, or by right clicking the tabbar and choosing "Undo Close Tab".
This is probably a result of how Firefox stores recent tabs. Is there some setting that needs to be enabled?

Firefox doesn't release memory after closing tabs and starts to become sluggish.
